Pakistan Cricket Board Announced Pakistan Vs Afghanistan ODI Series schedule. In August, a three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan will occur in Sri Lanka. The matches in Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan will serve as practice for the Asia Cup and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.
On August 17, Pakistan will start its training in Sri Lanka, and on August 22, the ODI series will begin. August 24 is scheduled for the second match, while August 26 will see the final match. The third one-day international will be played in Colombo after the first two games of the series are played in Hambantota.
As they continue their preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, where they will start their campaign against the Netherlands on October 6, Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup campaign against Nepal on August 30 in Multan.

Tayyab has received his second call-up to the ODI team. His first call-up came ahead of the three One-Day Internationals against New Zealand in January as a result of his outstanding performance in the Pakistan Cup 2022–23, when he finished as the competition’s top run-getter. The middle-order right-handed batsman recently hit an outstanding century to help Pakistan Shaheens defeat India A by an incredible 128 runs in the ACC Men’s Emerging Cup final.
Saud has played five ODIs, the latest of which was in March 2022 in Lahore when Pakistan defeated Australia by a score of 348 runs with six wickets remaining. Saud is not a member of the Asia Cup team.
Shan was passed over for selection due to a run of poor performances, and Ihsanullah is receiving rehabilitation under the close supervision of the PCB medical team due to an elbow injury suffered while bowling.
The players in Pakistan are scheduled to depart on August 17 so that the team may meet in Hambantota on August 18.
